Mystery of Angel Hill (Everyone Welcome)

Nekoma lightly landed at the base of Angel Hill. She looked up at its magnificent height, and sighed.

Kyraith muttered something and took off after Nekoma, clenching her jaw.

Aquos rolled her eyes and waked towwards angel hill. "At least you agree with me." she said with a grin, before stepping into the shadows of the trees and walking towards angel hill.

"Let's try to not kill each other, okay?" Nekoma said as she leaped off the ground and into the air. Her wings beat steadily as she flew towards Angel Hill.

"Right. And the sooner I can get back to 'bathing the in mud that's as thick as us'. And I do understand sarcasm." Kyraith hissed and walked towards Nekoma. Her guards surrounded her and glared at Aquos.

"Let's calm down, okay?" Nekoma looked at the sky, thinking it was starting to get dark out. She was right. "Look, it's sundown let's go. The sooner we leave the sooner we'll be able to get back to our tribes." And with that Nekoma called for her personally selected guards and Lilly.

Aquos arched her back upward and snarled. she was huge, not in height, but in length. "Hmph. You Umbrians are as thick as the mud you bathe in. I can see you aren't bright. Can't tell the difference between my insult and the compliment you thought it was. And don't tell me it was sarcasm, judging from your tone, I don't think you understand that either." She lashed her tail, if Kyraith attacked her, she would make the Umbrian leader look stupid and have a reason to fight her. She added a taunting sneer, and hoped that Ky took the bait.

Kyraith glared at Aquos. "Thanks for the compliment. Or was it not one?" She muttered, half growling.

"Whatever you idiots decide." (No offense, Aquos doesn't think highly of anyone.)

"Fine." Kyraith said, sitting down.

Twelve guards and eight mages flew in near Kyraith. They were all dressed in black armor made of obsidian that looked to be enhanced for durability. "Ready whenever you are." She muttered.

Aquos swished her tail angrily. "All my guards are incompetent. I'll just come by myself. But, if I die, there will be hell to pay for your tribe." She hissed. "I'll send my tribe a note, tell 'em who the next leader will be if I die and to go to war with you guys." She looked a little smug. Nekoma may be able to beat the Aquians with the help of the Umbrians, but still, better just to avoid it all together.

"Fine. I will help. But do not expect me to go alone. I will bring some of my army with me. Plus, if this fails, I will abandoned this quest before I die." Kyraith muttered, swishing her tail.

"A Manticore? This is worse than I thought. Once there was a Basilisk that escaped from it's magical seal in Shadow Lake. Even many Serpents were spotted there too." Kyraith muttered, now no very pleased. This Manticore could end her life. Would she say no?

"We will be going to Angel Hill at sundown, in case any other dragons are going to help, and are coming as we speak. I do somewhat know what we're looking for. In Terrimian lore, this territory used to be the home of Basilisks, Serpents, and Manticores with powerful venom. It is said that the venom can kill you in five minutes flat. So, I believe that the is a Manticore up there. That is one of the reasons I called you here. This Manticore may start descending Angel Hill. If it does that, all the Tribes will be in trouble. The venom has no known antidote," Nekoma said, recalling the legend. Of course, her guess could be wrong and it could be a very, very, very angry rouge dragon that would kill them. Oh, well, that was life for ya: Things get angry and kill other things.

Aquos grunted. "I would like sapphires. Those and emeralds. That's all, really. No. I don't feel like bothering with that list thing. I suppose I can help." Aquos gave another bad-tempered snort and lashed her tail impatiently. "Well? When are we going?" She paused, then added; "Do we even know what we're looking for?" She hissed, guessing that the answer was 'No but I'm sure we'll know when we find it!' She really hoped it wasn't, because that would suck.

"Yes, I will." Kyraith answered, still a bit wary of the leader.

"Hmm... I would agree. No one wants to make and alliance with the Umberians, because almost every dragon thinks we'll back stab them. There just cowards, I think. Prey would be nice, as jewels to add to my horde. We'll past on the territory, but just allow us to 'share' one part: the area where the bay is, you know, south of the Aqueain lands? So We'd be allowed to wander in there, but not hunt. Just visit." Kyraith said, looking at her talons.

"I understand you may not trust me, but I have a reason you should. All my dragons will be in their caves while we undergo this investigation. You can even check the list of dragons and their caves and see if they're there. If you still don't believe me, I will allow you to bring guards onto my territory," Nekoma said. She blinked, looked at the ceiling, drew in a long breath and said, "The reward is any of which follows: Jewels from my own collection, prey, an Alliance, or, perhaps, considering how big, part of my territory. Now, I would appreciate it if you could decide if you were helping me by sundown. Thank you for your hopefully future help."
